HogWire’s Week One Injury Report

 

The Washington Redskins versus The New York Giants

 REDSKINS

 The Washington Redskins have placed Colt Brennan (QB) on injured reserve and he is OUT for the season.

 Carlos Rogers (CB)                  Calf                              Probable

Rogers was limited in practice Wednesday, but fully participated in practice on Friday and is expected to play in this Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.

When asked about Rogers availability Redskins head coach Jim Zorn said “We were wondering how he was going to respond, He responded well. It looks like he’s going to be fine.”

 

Also listed on the Washington Redskins Injury Report is: 

Mike Williams (T)                     Ankle                           Probable

WR Roydell Williams recently underwent surgery to repair a broken left pinkie. The injury isn’t a season-ender, so he could be released with an injury settlement.

 

 

GIANTS 

The New York Giants have placed Jay Alford (DL), Jeremy Clark (DL), Andrew Carnahan (T), Stoney Woodson (DB), and Andre Brown (RB) on injured reserve and they are OUT for the season. Giants weakside linebacker Michael Boley will miss the game as he serves a one-game NFL suspension.

Aaron Ross (CB)                     Hamstring                     Out

Ross did not practice Wednesday, on Thursday the Newark Star-Ledger reported that if Ross would have played on Sunday, it likely would only be in nickel or dime packages. Ross also sat out Fridays practice and will not play Sunday against the Redskins.

Kevin Dockery (DB)                Hamstring                     Questionable

Clint Sintim (LB)                       Groin                            Doubtful

Adam Koets (T)                       Ankle                           Doubtful

 

DL Chris Canty has a hamstring injury but was not listed on Wednesday’s or Friday’s injury report, he participated fully in Wednesday’s practice.
