Griffin Not Doing Private Workouts A Sign?

People tell me not to ‘make anything out of’ Robert Griffin III not doing any private follow-up workouts for teams.

Why not?

I don’t care who Griffin turns down for private workouts, there are only two teams in the running – the Washington Redskins and the Indianapolis Colts. The Redskins have stated that they didn’t need a private workout anyway, and had already seen everything they needed to see. Smart. Read the rest of this entry »

Hog Wire: Tuesday

There isn’t a lot going on in Redskins Nation right now, at least not much that wasn’t going on for the last week anyway. Here are a few non-updates:

London Fletcher – Zip. Zilch. Nada. Donut. So stop asking me. There isn’t any new news, but frankly, every day that Fletcher is a free agent, oddly, both sides gain leverage. London gains leverage because with Curtis Lofton going to the Saints, there really aren’t a lot of options left in free agency at inside linebacker. The Redskins gain leverage because there obviously aren’t a lot of other teams throwing money at Fletcher, or he may have already departed. Unfortunately that means that the two may have moved into a stalemate. It’s easy to say, “Give him more money,” but the Redskins have little to spare after the cap penalty. Something creative needs to be done cap-wise because with what will likely be a fairly short-term deal of 2 or 3 years, there isn’t any time to pro-rate out bonus money. In Love With Two Players

In case you missed it yesterday Redskins fans, General Manager Bruce Allen held a press conference to fill in some blanks about the blockbuster trade between the Washington Redskins and the St. Louis Rams.

A lot was said and you can check it all out here, but one of the most important things said was: “Clearly we fell in love with two players,” Allen offered. “We believe one of those players will be a great Redskin.” Read the rest of this entry »

Robert Griffin III in a Redskins uniform

Just like when Andrew Luck pictures were photoshopped with him wearing Colts, Dolphins and Redskins uniforms, fans were fascinated. Now, after he was awarded the 2011 Heisman Trophy, Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III has been photoshopped in a Redskins uniform. Read the rest of this entry »

Andrew Luck in a Redskins uniform

For those who like to dream, here is the opportunity to see Andrew Luck in a Redskins uniform. While fans would prefer to see Luck don the number 12 over John Beck, in all likelihood he will be sporting that jersey in central Indiana next season.

This Photoshop design comes from Chris Creamer’s SportLogos.net’s forums. This is far and away the best web site for sports logos and uniforms. Folks can see Luck in Colts and Dolphins uniforms in amazing detail in this thread.

Here is the link to see the Luck photos.
