Tough Decisions: The Washington Redskins Secondary, Who to Keep?


It’s hard to believe, but there truly looks to be “more” competition for roster spots on the Washington Redskins this year than last year. Seriously, other than quarterback, kicker and punter, there’s an abundance of quality players battling for a position. The offensive line, defensive line and receiving corps all could see some changes, but the most intriguing area to me is the defensive secondary.

Follow Friday – ‘New Redskins’ Edition


There are are a lot of new faces at Redskins Park these days, especially today as the Redskins kick off the offseason schedule with the Rookie Mini-Camp. Combine that, with the fact that it’s Friday, and that means Follow Friday on Twitter, I thought it would be prudent to put together a (hopefully) comprehensive list of the twitter handles of all the new blood. Hog Wire: News And Notes


Gaffney Released

I’m not sure I really understand the ‘celebration’ of some Redskins fans of the news today that Jabar Gaffney had been released, but whatever. Gaffney was the most dependable receiver on the roster last season, his only season in the burgundy and gold. Other than a Twitter tirade that may or may not have been him (he says that his account was hacked), his time in Washington was very positive.

He hauled in 68 catches for 947 yards and 5 touchdowns in 2011 – all team highs. All three were also career highs (touchdowns tied 2007). Read the rest of this entry »
