Redskins Held to Victory over Cowboys

I’ve never been a big fan of the officials. I’ve never really made that a secret. When they called unnecessary roughness on London Fletcher, I was fit to be tied. Redskins’ fans are all too familiar with the refs determining the outcome of games, but it’s a strange feeling when the call goes our way.

A guy I work with told me he was going to root against the Redskins last week. He’s not a Cowboys fan, he just hates the Redskins. He told me about how he, and a bunch of his friends who are Cowboys fans, were going to go out to a bar just so they could talk smack to Redskins fans when they lost.

    Musings from Curmudgeon Corner 11/23/09

    Posted from Curmudgeon Corner, Maine

I have no idea what to think. My Redskins just held to Cowboys to 7 points. My Redskins carried a lead into the fourth quarter, against the Cowboys, at their house. I should be happy.  Yet, I find myself wondering “so, what?”

The problem was, that lead consisted of 6 points.  Six lousy points, on two field goals.  I can’t entirely blame Zorn, this time.  The patched up offensive line took another blow, with the loss for the year of yet another lineman.  The second string running back, who had knocked them dead last week with a clutch performance, went down with a season ending knee injury. A Little Unexpected Competition Never Hurts.

    Posted from Curmudgeon Corner, Maine

As if things weren’t bad enough, there are now competitors in the NFC East for the counseling services that our Redskins have been offering to the downtrodden of the league. Fortunately, most can’t meet the level of services offered by the Redskins. Read the rest of this entry »

    Flashback: September 2005

We have a lot of content here at theHogs.net and as we have been putting it out for so long – sometimes things get lost. We thought that it might be fun to re-visit some things every now and again during the dog days of the offseason.

We can look back at some of our old articles, or old message board posts, or podcasts, or maybe even back to one of our Cartoons.

So we’re going to look back to Game 2 of the 2005 Season, when we were facing our arch-rivals, the Dallas Cowboys. This cartoon was put together by BringThePain, Scott Hurrey, Scott Peek, and myself.
