Here is a look at some of the most interesting numbers from the Washington Redskins 23-20 overtime victory over the New York Jets last Sunday:

296 - Ground yards for Washington. That's more than twice what Jason Campbell managed through the air (12 of 23 for 142 yards)

196 - Yards rushing for Clinton Portis. His best day of the season, and as a Redskins, and a giant reason for the Redskins' 5th win of 2007.

88 - Yards rushing in the first half for Clinton Portis, on 17 carries; considering no Redskin had posted a 100-yard game yet this season, it was a big first half.

86 - Yards that Leon Washington took the game's opening kickoff back for a touchdown. Ouch.

36 - Carries for Portis. That ties his most in a Redskin uniform - he also had 36 carries against the Bears in 2004. Incidentally, the Redskin record for carries in a game is 45 (Jamie Morris back on 12/17/1988; it was also an overtime game).

32 - Yards for Portis on his longest run. Not only was it the longest of the game, it was both his and the Redskins' longest run from scrimmage this year.

29 - Yards for Jason Campbell on a big 3rd down scamper in the 3rd quarter. Until Portis had the 32-yarder mentioned above, Campbell's run was the longest from scrimmage this year for a Redskin.

11 - Solo tackles from Rocky McIntosh to lead the defense. He also had an assisted tackle, and had one of three Redskin sacks (see below); McIntosh continues to get better and better and is a bright spot for the 2007 Washington Redskins.

5 - Field goals by Shaun Suisham against the Jets - that ties a Redskin record accomplished 7 other times. The Canadian kicker was good from 46, 40, 22, 40, and most importantly from 46 in overtime.

5 - Wins on the season for Washington; it may be one of the ugliest trips to a 5-3 record that an NFL team has ever taken, but it is what it is.

3 - Sacks (McIntosh, Andre Carter and LaRon Landry)

2 - Walk-off, game-winning overtime field goals for Suisham this year. His first beat the Dolphins in week one.

1 - Number of receptions by Redskin receivers in the first half. Santana Moss caught a quick hitch and turned it into twelve yards for the only pass caught by a receiver. That's just not enough, but at least Chris Cooley and Mike Sellers grabbed three each to give Washington some first half passing numbers.

0 - Fan participation from the Jets fans in attendance. Can an NFL stadium get any quieter? Wow.
