2007 Results: 10-7, Lost to San Diego in the Wildcard Game
2008 Projected Cap Status: $17,990,400 under the cap

2007 Season Recap:

2007 was an up and down year for the Titans. After going 6-2 the first half of the season, they lost 3 in a row, then won 4 or their last 5 to make the playoffs as a wildcard team. With an offense that ranked at the lower part of the spectrum (21) and a solid defense (5), Tennessee managed to split with both Jacksonville and division winner Indianapolis. Their season ended at San Diego where they didn’t have enough firepower to hang with the Chargers.

Team Needs:

1. Wide Receiver: If Vince Young is going to be their quarterback of the “Now”, they need to find a franchise type wide receiver. Will they pull the trigger at #1?

2. Tight End: Injuries to Alge Crumpler leave this position exposed. TE could be a release valve for Young and take some pressure off his receivers potentially opening up the run game as well.

3. Defense Ends: They need to fill holes left by vacating Travis LaBoy and Antwan Odom who left as free agents. With an aging Jevon Kearse, they need to find young talent to replace this productive tandem.

4. Cornerback: With “Pacman” likely to never play a down again in Tennessee, a solid corner should be on the menu.

2008 Draft Picks:

1st Round – 24th overall
2nd Round – 54th overall
3rd Round – 85th overall
4th Round – 124th overall
4th Round – 134th overall (comp.)
5th Round – 157th overall
7th Round – 229th overall
