The Cowboys win again. The Cowboys have won every game with the Redskins in Dallas since 1995. That has to be some kind of record. And the Cowboys put the ball on the ground at least four out of the first five times they had to ball Sunday. And they had at least two touchdowns called back. But, the Big Tuna never looked worried. Somehow the Cowboys know, no matter how bad it gets against the Redskins, they are going to find some way to win. And they did. Our team did not block very well again. Young Ramsey got tattooed way too many times again. And nary a teammate helped him up, or even seemed to look his way. Amazing.

Gaining NFL experience is hurtful to everyone. That is the phase we are going through right now. Course most of the talking heads are calling for Spurrier's job. A few are even questioning Mr. Snyder. My biggest problem with that approach is then us Redskins' fans get to go through this whole process all over again. And the players get to learn another new system. Besides the fact that some of our players need to learn to talk less and let their play on the field talk for them, they would get to learn the fifth new system in the last six years. Enough is enough.

The Ball Coach is a smart football person. He and his staff are a season and a half into getting NFL smarter. Give them time to let them play this thing out and maybe, maybe we'll turn the corner and start winning again. That would be funner.

The Seahawks come into town this weekend. I do not know much about them. The Redskins beat them last year in their place. A friend drove over a thousand miles to see that game. It was a fun trip for him and his boy. But the Seahawks team is a lot different this year. They are 6-2. Their new defensive coach is Ray Rhodes, an excellent, NFL experienced (was here for awhile) coach. And of course their offensive coach has many Super Bowl rings. I am sure the Seahawks would love to go back to the Northwest with a win in their belt.

But the Redskins need a win big time. We need to find a way to win this game. I hope we start by protecting our young Qback better. I was very happy to see rookie Jacobs in the lineup in Dallas. He even caught a TD pass. I think if Ramsey has some time, the team can make some plays. And I hope the defense plays within its scheme, and smarter, this week. How many stupid penalties do they need to make to keep the other team's drives alive to learn that that is really dumb football? GO SKINS!!!

* Thank heaven for Jim Thorpe, a man who helped pro football, now the passionate NFL game we love today, get started.
