The Redskins* got a huge win last Sunday at the expense of the Seahawks. First win in five weeks. October was a long month. And young Ramsey only got wacked a couple of times. But none of his O-linemen ever seem to helped him up. I cannot figure that out. Amazing. The Redskins won because the coaches decided to go for it on fourth and one from their own 25 with over six minutes left in the game. I do not think there is another coach in the NFL who would make that call except Coach Spurrier. He is a gambling man. The game, the season, were on the line. But, they made it, and all is well that ends well. Huge play.

The other huge play happened in the second quarter when a Seahawk intercepted a Ramsey pass on the Redskins 28-yard line and was running it back into the end zone to take a 21-3 lead. But, Laveranues Coles, the intended receiver on the play, never gave up, came back and knocked the ball loose just before the Seahawk entered the end zone; Redskins recovered the ball in the end zone; first and ten on the 20. Gained three yards. Huge, huge play. The Redskins manufactured some luck on that play.

Maybe this win will give Coach Spurrier and his staff some breathing room. The Redskins go to Carolina this Sunday. They are leading the NFC South with a 7-2 record and just beat the Super Bowl Champion Bucs for the second time this season. They have a pretty fair running back in Stephan Davis (who has been hurt lately), ex- of the Washington Redskins, and a pretty fair defense, although statistically, I thought they were better. This should be a barn burner. Hopefully the underdog Redskins can find a way to win two in a row.

The Redskins still need to win. GO SKINS!!!
