In week 8, the Redskins will have to continue to rely on production from their backup linebackers. Redskins starting weak-side linebacker LaVar Arrington had a minor setback in practice and is listed as doubtful as the Redskins face off against the Green Bay Packers. Lemar Marshall will get his fifth start if Arrington is unable to play.

Mike Barrow is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game, and actually participated in full practice this week for the first time since injuring his knee in training camp. If cleared to play, the coaches will likely wean him into the starting line-up, as his replacement Antonio Pierce has performed admirably in his absence.

Ola Kimrin will look to take the place kicking duties for the second straight week with John Hall listed as doubtful. Hall injured his groin in practice and has been able to kick short-range field goals in practice, but is not yet at 100%.

Philip Daniels has been sidelined since week three due to a groin injury and is listed as questionable on the official injury report. Daniels was able to practice more yesterday and is said to be optimistic about his chances on returning against the Green Bay Packers. If he is unable to make the start, Ron Warner and Demetric Evans will split the duties.

Chad Morton is also listed as questionable after injuring his knee, but is expected to assume his return duties this weekend. If he is unable to go, James Thrash will return kicks and punts.

Fred Baxter was signed during the bye week after the team released former starting tight end Walter Rasby. The newly acquired tight end is listed as probable for this weekend though with a hamstring injury.

Also listed as probable is starting left tackle Chris Samuels. Samuels is recovering from an ankle injury, but expects to battle Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila in the trenches this weekend.

Fred Smoot is also listed as probable with a shoulder injury. Smoot, known for his toughness in recent years, suffered injuries to both shoulders in the week 6 win over the Chicago Bears.
