Snyder Gets His Man

With Laveranues Coles wanting out of Washington, a deal was struck with the Jets on Saturday, to swap Coles for former teammate Moss. The Redskins took a major hit in salary cap to make the trade, but coach Gibbs made it clear to the team that he did not want anyone on the roster who did not want to be there, so the trade was agreed to on Saturday, hinged on both players passing a physical. Moss passed his physical earlier this week and Coles’ physical, scheduled for Wednesday morning, has been pushed back to Wednesday evening due to weather.
Moss will join newly signed wide receiver David Patten to give the Redskins receiving corps some added speed this season. This should give Patrick Ramsey the ability to go down field a bit more, the thing believed to have led to Coles’ unhappiness in the first place.
