Edwards to go with #1 pick?:
Based on the recent trend in the Draft, probably not. No wide receiver has been taken with the #1 pick since Keyshawn “Me-shawn” Johnson in 1996. However, in the last two drafts, 3 of the top 6 picks have been wide receivers.

Make it a Big MAC: Akron QB Charlie Frye will look to add his name to the growing list of starting NFL quarterbacks from the Mid-American Conference. Currently, Chad Pennington (Marshall), Byron Leftwich (Marshall) and Ben Roethlisberger (Miami, OH).

Tackled at the line: It appears that the streak of an offensive tackle being taken with one of the top 10 picks will be snapped in this year’s draft.

The rich get richer: The Philadelphia Eagles, the same team that represented the NFC in last season’s Super Bowl has the most picks in the draft with 13. Of those picks, 5 come in the first 3 rounds. Maybe they can find replacements for the disgruntled wide outs they have.

Late but great: Johnny Unitas (Louisville), arguably one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, was drafted by the Steelers in the ninth round of the 1955 draft with the 102nd overall pick. None of the players taken before him (101) or after him (258) are in the HOF.

A passing trend: 23 quarterbacks have been tabbed with the #1 overall pick. The past four drafts and six of the last seven have had quarterbacks taken with the top pick.
Running Tigers, Fast Teammates: Auburn stable-mates, Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams, could be the highest drafted running back teammates in NFL history. Considering that both are projected as top 10 picks that could be just the first record they break.
