The trouncing of the G-men was a wonderful Christmas present. What a great season this has turned out to be. Happy New Year to all. Here’s hoping we start if off with an injury free victory over Philthy. One more for five in a row and a well deserved and long awaited playoff birth!

Denver at San Diego
This is pretty much a meaningless game for both teams. Look for the Broncos to rest up for the playoffs (although Shanahan doesn’t believe in it) and hand the Chargers a meaningless victory.
Pick – Chargers

New York Giants at Oakland
It’ll be fun to root for the Faiders and Norv on New Year’s Eve, but the G-men will provide Oakland their sixth loss in a row. Norv gets fired next week after an extremely disappointing season.
Pick – Giants

Carolina at Atlanta
The Panthers with much more to play for will narrow the Pukes playoff hopes, while the Falcons point fingers and blame their offensive coordinator for their problems. Funny, considering it was their defense that let them down and faded during the later part of the season.
Pick – Panthers

Baltimore at Cleveland
This season has been a tough initiation for Crennel, while Billick gets a recent vote of confidence. The Ravens are playing better and should end the season on a positive note.
Pick – Raisins

Seattle at Green Bay
Holmgren won’t make the mistake of again denying Alexander a shot at padding his rushing title yardage or his first (and probably last) shot at the touchdown record. What a year Alexander has had. He’ll get his record, while Favre adds to his interception total against backup corners.
Pick – Hawks

Arizona at Indianapolis
The Colts will get an emotional win for coach Dungy.
Pick – Colts

Cincinnati at Kansas City
There is a question as to whether Palmer will play after tweaking his groin last week. If Lewis is smart he’ll rest him for the playoffs.
Pick – Chiefs

Miami at New England
The Pats are playing for playoff seeding and will put an end to Miami’s five game win streak.
Pick – Pats

Buffalo at New York Jets
This is the ‘who cares’ game of the week. I’ll take the Bills based on how well they played last week.
Pick – Bills

Detroit at Pittsburgh
This one shouldn’t be close. The Steelers are playing well at the right time.
Pick – Steelers

New Orleans at Tampa Bay
The Bucs rap up their division and prepare for a rematch with the Skins.
Pick – Bucs

Tennessee at Jacksonville
I’m not sure the Jags have much to play for, but believe Del Rio will have them prepared enough to beat the struggling Titans. Ending the season against the weak opponents like the 49ers, Texans and Titans, as well as the possible return of a rusty Leftwich, ought to make the Jags an easy first round victim for the Pats.
Pick – Jags

Houston at San Francisco
Go 49ers. I want to see Bush with the Texans and out of the NFC.
Pick – 49ers

Chicago at Minnesota
This win will give the Bears their first undefeated division record since the ’87 season.
Pick – Bears

Washington at Philadelphia
What a great way to start the New Year with a victory over Philthy and a trip to the playoffs. Portis will shatter Davis’ record. Hopefully we can rest Brunell in the second half.
Pick – Redskins

St. Louis at Dallas
The Pukes get a win, although it doesn’t get them to the playoffs. The ten-win season does, however, convince Parcells to come back for another season and a couple more losses to Coach Gibbs.
Pick - Pukes

Last Week’s Results: 9-7
Season To Date: 158-82
