Atlanta Falcons

2005 Results: 8-8, 3rd in NFC South
2006 Projected Cap Status: $113,700,000

2005 Season Recap:

The Falcons were sitting tied atop the NFC South, standing at 6-2 then they crashed to .500 and missed the playoffs. They lost six of their last eight games to miss the playoffs after making it to the NFC championship game in 2004. Mora made it worse with several late-season tantrums, like berating referees and throwing a mic at a radio analyst.

Team Needs:

1. ILB - Atlanta needs to upgrade it's run defense. They should start at inside linebacker - a position that was left unfilled when Edgerton Hartwell went out.

2. Safety - Atlanta has to continue the run defense upgrade and bring in a physical safety that can be an intimidating presence in the box.

3. DefensiveTackle - They need a big body run-stopper that could shore up the middle of the defense.

4. Wide Receiver - Mike Vick could use a better receiving threat. Attempts to achieve this haven’t worked out in the past (Peerless Price).
