Training Camp Primer 1

THN will be heading to training camp full throttle. Every year we strive to bring you what we feel is a unique look at camp. This year, there will be more content than ever before as we kick off our 2006 podcast campaign. Rather than continuing to provide analysis through daily written reports, we will be moving a lot of our camp observations to an audio format. We will have a mini-studio set up for camp, and endeavor to bring you daily podcasts on our observations. We will have 2 or 3 of our own 'beat reporters' at most practices making notes on various areas of interest, and we will bring them together in a round table discussion for you every day. We will not be broadcasting live as we hope to be able to provide you with some audio clips from players, and maybe even from fans in the crowd, and we will need some time to produce them together into a logical, produced format. We may also have a few special guests throughout the camp, so stay tuned.
If you're a member of the THN community and are going to some practices, don't be shy. Come up and give us your thoughts on camp, or how the Redskins will do this year, and we might put your comments in our podcast or in one of our articles.
We also wanted to take an opportunity to bring your attention to a great tool that we have put together for Redskin fans to bring to the 2006 Washington Redskins training camp. We've taken all of the information that you will need for camp, and we've rolled it all into one handy little guide that you can print off on to one piece of paper. You will find an updated roster, some short profiles on some of the new players on the team, a full camp schedule, places to eat in the area, where to find accomodations; there's even a small space reserved for autographs if you fill up your favorite piece of memorabilia.
The guide is in PDF format so you will need Adobe Acrobat to download and print the file. There are actually two full pages of information, so you will have to print off a two-sided page. If your printer does not have the ability built in, you should just be able to feed the page through a second time to print page two after successfully printing page one. (Make sure you let it dry a little first!) When you have printed the two-sided document, you will be able to fold the brochure twice along it's seams to form a very compact, but hopefully very informative little camp guide.
Special thanks to Scott Peek for putting it together, and please take advantage of the resource so that you can make the most out of your time at Redskin Park. If you see a THN staff member at practice, we may have extra copies for you if you forget to bring one with you. Click here to download the guide now, or visit our training camp section where you can print it off at your convenience.
The season is less than a week away... are you ready for some football?
