Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The company, food and football were great, and overall, the hognostications were really good. Congratulations to everyone for doing so well. Redskin in Canada finally made his move and is now just two back of JPM36. Fortunately our Skins won to offset my foul mood, as my Sunday hognostications were cause for disappointment. After all, I can accept the Bears losing to the Pats, and I won’t even go into what happened in Tennessee, but demoralizing last-second losses by the Jags and the 9ers broke my chance of having a first decent week. Good luck to everyone this week, as there are some tough picks.

Baltimore at Cincinnati
This is one of those tough picks. The Ravens are playing for only their franchise’s second divisional title, and by virtue of playing on a Thursday night, are playing to become only the second team to win a divisional title in November since the league went to eight divisions in 2002. Meanwhile the Bengals need this win desperately to help keep their wildcard hopes alive. This is going to be a great team to watch for those of us that have the NFL Network. I’m going with the better defense.
Pick – Ravens

San Diego at Buffalo
Obviously the Chargers are the more talented team in this match-up. The question is will the Chargers, with a two-game lead in their division, take a week off. One has to believe that the return of Merriman alone will be enough to fire up the Chargers to beat the Bills.
Pick – Chargers

Minnesota at Chicago
Unfortunately for Vikings, they’ll be playing the Bears coming off one of their only losses this season. Not that I’d pick the Vikes if the Bears had won last week.
Pick – Bears

Kansas City at Cleveland
Pretty sad if the Brownies need to rely on a second year player like Braylon Edwards for leadership. Herm Edwards has done a great job in KC and will need to keep it up if they want to keep pace in the AFC wildcard chase.
Pick – Chiefs

New York Jets at Green Bay
What a pleasant surprise for the Jets’ faithful to have a shot at the playoffs this season. They’ll have to win in the cold at Lambeau to stay in the race.
Pick – Jets

Detroit at New England
One of the easiest picks of the season.
Pick - Patriots

San Francisco at New Orleans
Should’ve known better than to pick the 9ers last week. This loss will officially put them out of the playoff chase.
Pick – Saints

Arizona at St. Louis
Although it would be fun to see him there, there’s no way Pete Carroll is stupid enough to trade USC for the Cardinals. The Cardinals are a pathetic 3-18 on the road over the past 2+ seasons under Green.
Pick – Rams

Indianapolis at Tennessee
Vince Young is the real deal. It’ll be interesting to see if the interest in Young can keep Fisher in Tennessee. This one won’t be as close at the 14-13 Colts’ victory in week 8.
Pick – Colts

Atlanta at Washington
In Gibbs we trust! Much thanks to Coach Gibbs for silencing all the talking heads predicting his departure after the season. Gotta love the run-the-ball, stop-the-run focus.
Pick – Redskins

Jacksonville at Miami
Two teams headed in opposite directions.
Pick – Dolphins

Houston at Oakland
A tough pick, although not a very interesting one. This is a battle of two anemic offenses. At least Houston can blame theirs on injuries to their OL.
Pick - Texans

Dallas at New York Giants
Are things as bad in New York as the media would lead us to believe? Maybe not, but the pukes are playing well and don’t have near the distractions, even with T.O.. Hasta luego, Vanderjerk.
Pick – Pukes

Tampa Bay at Pittsburgh
Another tough pick - only taking the Steeler because they’re at home.
Pick - Steelers

Seattle at Denver
Jay Cutler gets his chance. Rod Smith and Javon Walker ought to be excited, and if the Broncos can balance their offensive attack, they’ll be tough to beat, particularly at home.
Pick – Broncos

Carolina at Philadelphia
The Panthers bounce back after getting beat by the class of the league last weekend.
Pick - Panthers

Last Week’s Results: 12-4
Season to Date: 101-74
