Hard to believe that an already difficult Washington Redskins' season got even tougher on Sunday with a 21-19 loss to the Eagles. Here are the Fifth Quarter rankings for the Redskins' performance:

Passing:

Jason Campbell continued both his growth and his growing pains. His 182 yards on 15 completions (27 attempts) weren't bad but for the second week in a row, he threw two interceptions. One of those interceptions was returned 84 yards by Michael Lewis and was undoubtedly the game's turning point. Campbell's best pass on the day was a 34-yard touchdown pass to Antwaan Randle El.

El also threw the Redskins deepest pass when he completed a 40-yard bomb to Brandon Lloyd on an option pass. Unfortunately, the Redskins couldn't capitalize and had to settle for a field goal.

Rushing:

Ladell Betts was one of the brightest spots in an otherwise dismal offensive performance. After signing a contract extension this week, Betts came out strong and posted 171 yards. His longest run from scrimmage was a 20-yarder, and his workmanlike 33 carries proved that he can definitely carry the load for this Redskin offense when need be. It was the second consecutive week that he has posted over 150 yards.

Defense:

The defense didn't have a bad game on Sunday, although they could not stop the Eagles when it counted most down the stretch. Philadelphia got the ball with 4:52 left to go in the fourth quarter and Washington could not stop them and get their offense back on the field. In fairness to the defense, when you hold your opposition to less than 300 yards, you should win the game.

Andre Carter had a good showing for the second week in a row as he settles into this defense. While he did not register a sack, he was close several times and flushed Jeff Garcia from the pocket a few times with good pressure.

Vernon Fox led the team with 6 tackles and an assist.

3 Quarters

Special Teams:

When is the last time that Redskins' fans could say that the kicker had a good game? Newly acquired kicker Shaun Suisham was perfect on the day with four field goals on four attempts with his longest coming from 45 yards. All of his field goals were strong efforts and Suisham will have certainly managed to gain a little confidence in himself, as well as from his teammates. His kickoffs weren't great but they were a lot better than Nick Novak's.

Derrick Frost also had a decent game, although he only punted three times.

3 Quarters

The Redskins fell to 4-9, thus ending any hopes of a playoff berth. Next week they travel to New Orleans to face the Saints.
