Between now and the 2007 NFL Draft, THN will be taking a look at all of the NFL teams’ off-season needs. Up next is the team with the fourth overall pick in the draft, theTampa Bay Buccaneers.

2006 Results: 4-12 (4th in NFC South)

2007 Projected Cap Status: $94,000,000 or $15 million under the Cap

2006 Season Recap:

After a horrid 2006 season, the Buccaneers will go into the offseason with head coach Jon Gruden looking to rebuild and mend a lackluster team that fielded one of its worst offenses in franchise history. Tampa Bay has the fourth overall pick in the draft, and additionally have the last pick in the second round.

The pewter pirates will enter free agency with plenty of cap to grab a few good players. They'll be shopping for a plethora of talent, particularly in the offensive and defensive lines, as well as the defensive secondary.

2007 Schedule: Home - Atlanta, Carolina, New Orleans, St.Louis, Arizona, Washington, Jacksonville, Tennessee. Away - Atlanta, Carolina, New Orleans, Houston, San Fransisco, Indianapolis, Detroit, Seattle.

Team needs:

-Smart, veteran quarterback who can come in and compete for the starting job.

-Better, faster offensive lineman that can pull out and run block as well as hold at the point of attack.

-Starting safety that can move quickly in the secondary as well as play physically in the box (see : John Lynch during his prime).

-Big, overweight defensive tackle that can start day one, clogging the middle of the line.

-Another Wide Receiver to complement Galloway & Hilliard. Clayton and Stovall have both shown flashes of good play, but we'd all sleep better knowing we had another solid target.

2007 draft picks:

Rd. 1 (4th)
Rd. 2 (35th)
Rd. 2 (64th)
Rd. 3 (68th)
Rd. 4 (98th)
