Gibbs RetiresFour seasons into his second stint as head coach of the Washington Redskins, coach Joe Gibbs is retiring for the second time.

Gibbs returned from retirement in 2004 to a team in peril. The once-proud Washington franchise had been mired in more than a decade of mediocrity. While Gibbs did not achieve his goal of returning the Redskins to the Super Bowl, he did leave this team in much better shape than it was when he got here.

Unfortunately for the Gibbs family, Joe's grandson Taylor was diagnosed with Leukemia and he feels like this is the time that he needs to be with his loved ones. Stay tuned in the next couple of days for more in-depth coverage of Coach Joe's retirement.
