By The Numbers: PanthersHere's a look at some of the interesting and often painful numbers and statistics from the Redskins 20-17 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday:

198 - Total yards of offense for the Redskins. Ugh. Coming into the game, Carolina was allowing almost that on the ground ever game.

145 - Yards passing for Jason Campbell; he was 17 of 23.

74 - Yards total rushing for the Skins.

66 - Percent in red zone efficiency - starting on the Panthers' 1 and on the 12 definitely made the statistic virtually pointless.

65 - Yards receiving for Steve Smith on 5 catches; DeAngelo Hall actually did a very decent job of keeping Smith in check.

57 - Yards rushing for Clinton Portis on 19 carries. Mike Sellers wasn't the only one not blocking.

35.6 - Yards per punt for Glenn Pakulak; he wasn't much better than Shaun Suisham was last week, and Suisham hadn't punted since high school.

9 - Yards was the longest run for QB Jake Delhomme - it's significant because the run salted the game away for Carolina.

7 - Fumbles in the game - while only two of them were lost (1 for each team), did Mazola sponsor the game?

2.5 - Sacks from Andre Carter, who also had six tackles (5 solo, 1 assist).

1 - Safety for the Panthers; they really weren't even competing until that point - it was a big momentum shift.

0 - Catches for Chris Cooley - his 'consecutive games with a catch' streak ends at 75 - what a shame. Having CC take on the responsibility of blocking in the wake of a Chris Samuels' injury, just doesn't seem like a very effective use of personnel.

It's the winless Kansas City Chiefs up next for the Redskins. The Chiefs will be out for blood after blowing a lead and losing to the Cowboys on Sunday.
