Redskins and Broncos Make Another DealIt was announced Tuesday that the Washington Redskins and Denver Broncos made another off-season trade in the days leading up to the draft. This time, instead of swapping Pro Bowl players, the two teams swapped draft picks.

Washington, in exchange for the Broncos first round selection (25th overall) in this year’s draft, sent their third round pick this year, as well as their first and fourth round picks next season.

Now with two first round selections in Saturday’s draft, the Redskins have several options. Of course they can make both selections, but they also have the flexibility to package them together in a deal to move up or trade one for a player or multiple lower round picks.

ESPN.com is reporting that the Redskins made the trade in an effort to select Auburn quarterback Jason Campbell, however it is highly unlikely that the team would make such a trade in hopes that he would still be on the board, and then make their intentions known three days before the draft begins.
