Redskins Players of the Game: GiantsEach week, THN will choose their three players of the game at each position. Here are week eight's selections:

Offense: Patrick Ramsey

It’s very hard to find an offensive player of the game when it seems like the offense missed the team bus on the way to the Meadowlands. The offensive line gave Brunell very little time to pass. When Brunell did have time to pass, he either made bad passes or the receivers caught (no pun intended) a case of “fumble fingers”. Brunell threw for only 65 yards on 28 pass attempts and was intercepted for the first time in his last 135 pass attempts. Ramsey replaced Brunell late in the third quarter and not much changed. Ramsey completed three passes on six attempts and almost matched Brunell’s total with 62 yards. Two of Ramsey’s completions went for over 20 yards – a remarkable feat considering how the game went for an offense that has been known for its explosiveness this season.

Defense: Ryan Clark

Clark had arguably the best statistical game of his career but it wasn’t because of a great performance by the Redskins defense. The Redskins defensive backs were forced to finish off many plays because a lack of tackling ability plagued the defensive line and linebackers. Clark finished the game with 11 tackles and one interception against his former team.

Special Teams: Derrick Frost

Unlike last week, Frost didn’t have any time to sit on the bench. With Nick Novak deactivated and the return of John Hall to the lineup for the first time since opening day, coaches didn’t want to take any chances, allowing Frost to handle kickoff duty. Ironically, he only had to do it once: on the opening kickoff. On the day, Frost punted eight times for 344 yards. His longest punt, a 55-yarder, came in the first quarter and started the Giants off at the 10-yard line. Frost had a total of two punts land inside the 20-yard line.
