Walter Thomas isn't Marcus Thomas.

Thomas Cut Shortly Into First Practice
Supersized undrafted rookie DT cut after being helped off field

Massive undrafted prospect DT Walter Thomas, who played spare collegiate games at Oklahoma State and NW Mississippi Community College, lasted 15 minutes in his first pro practice.

WWL and NOPF's Kenny Wilkerson reports that into only individual positional drills and not yet in team scrimmages, Thomas was helped off the field to the training facilities.

He was cut after practice.

The first practice on Saturday was outdoors. The temperature in Metairie did not get above 80 degrees until after noon.

He's back to being a UDFA

Well, I'm sure he'll find more to rob around here than in New Orleans. If nothing else, we'll give him a fresh start on his criminal career!

In the past two years, his only playing experience was at Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia, Miss. He played in two games, both losses. Then he was arrested on a charge of conspiracy to commit robbery, according to the Tate County (Miss.) Circuit Clerk’s office, and never played college football again.

With that kind of impressive resume, he should be a Baltimore Raven.
