You have to look a little deeper than that.

Mike Mayock on the NFL Total Access took the tape of both Branch and Okoye and broke it down. I think he's made the best assessment so far.

Branch's work habits, weight, and eating habits have all been a question of concern. On film, Mayock pointed out how Branch is "bottom heavy", meaning he is really thick from the waist down. He doesn't have the agility in his lower half or his legs to get a quick burst or to be able to maneuver around blockers.

When compared, Okoye is much quicker and can get around people, something Branch apparently struggles with. Okoye's stock has risen while Branch's stock has fallen. Between the two, I'd gamble with Okoye.

That's how I feel, too. Drafting guys who have a poor work habit rarely works.

Branch is the better DT



Okoye is only 6'1" and he weighs 312 and runs a 4.8... That is not easy to deal with. Especially since he plays probably an entire foot lower than branch. Very difficult to drive block.

ya like that. i'm pretty sure that was a mistake on someones part in the tech dept. at washington times.
