Training Camp

Postby BossHog » Fri Jan 09, 2004 10:28 am

I don't care how far away it is... this year we're gonna be prepared and we're going down with an army. So what if we don't know where it is yet... they culd put it in Alaska and we'd be there.

So.... who is THINKING about going? I'm not looking for a commitment here, just an idea of who is already thinking about making the trip.

I think with some planning and a group I will be able to get us a block of rooms and hopefully a good deal. i also think that for the men with non-football loving spouses, we shouldd think about arranging an event or two for our partners. Not all of them will want to hang out at a football field every day, so i think to be fair to them, we could plan some sight seeing too.

We had a deal fall through last year where someone was going to get his corporate rate for rooms for us a t a Hilton for $25 a night!!!! Anyone got any sweet setups like that for us to exploit?

Everyone should keep in mind that fan Appreciation Day will PROBABLY be on Aug. 7th (I'm guessing) and that will be your best chance to get a Gibbs autograph.

So if you're thinking about it... sound off here... tell me how many of you are coming, and we're still looking for a sugar daddy to rent us a house for the month for the staff so that we can stay for ALL of camp. I think everyone enjoyed our camp reports last year and we'd love to make sure that we don't miss a single practice for y'all this time around.

Possibly 3-4 days w/Mrs. Sarcastic Hogette...and possibly my daughter. August 8th is my birthday...couldn't think of a better present than meeting the skins and getting Gibbs autograph/handshake/smile/whatever.

I am planning on being there for (at least) the 1st week. Dunno if I'll be bringing anyone yet. For now, it's just me.

Well the list is shaping up nicely, i'm pretty sure that if we had just 10 rooms to book that we would get the discounted rate and that's not looking like it will be difficult as long as we can co-ordinate it and try synchronize out visits.

So keep em coming... let's represent!

Anyone have a good hotel/motel 'in'? Even if you're not planning on going? It shouldn't matter if we book enough rooms, but it's nice to have a starting place.

I actually ended up with a suite last year that wsn't huge, but I was able to bag it for just $45/night which I thought was sweet for a suite... just had a range top, microwave, fridge and counter but it also had an interntet hook-up and it saved me on a couple of meals.
