I am so there, probably solo. If it's in Carlisle, the Motel 6 (OK, I don't need much -- A/C, running hot water, ESPN) is $31.99 per night.

If it's at the Park, I dunno. Those toll roads will break me.

sounds like a winner, wonder if we can get the whole hotel, how big was it......if we get enuff people, we might need like 20 rooms. and i, like you don't require much either....might need a mini fridge for beer, or a cooler and a lot of ice

I most definitely have to have an internet connection. And if i'm staying for a month i definitely want a suite.

More room for thehogs.net brethren to gather round and suds up a little.

Don't sweat it yet, I'll figure it all out. I just wanted to try and get an idea of who is already thinking about going down.

Hey DEHog...does Carlisle Barracks have a BEQ...??? I know this is early...just trying to cover all the angles. Also looking for the nearest airport to fly into. Tried Roanoke and it was $600...and that's trying to book in NOW!!! So, I'd appreciate any help anyone could provide.

BH,

We need a Hogs.net pilgrimage to pay homage to Gibbs-ala. Any way we can book a hotel as a group and hang out as a group. Financially I think we can make this happen (note the paypal logo). Personally, I would absolutely contribute and would look forward to hanging out and meeting folks from this board. (kumbaya)

OK so.... so far we have:
1) Bosshog
2) skinsfaninroanoke
3) hailskins666
4) skinz74
5) justice hog

I know we'll be adding Wingman and Scooter to that list so that's 7 rooms, plus one for RedskinFreak if it's in Carlisle equals 8.

i'm sure more will crop up but I just wanted to see if there would be 10 as I said to try and get a block rate and i don't think it'll be a problem. If I know there will be I'll be able to arrange it with the hotel to just call and back your own rooms and we'll have a promotion # or something so that it applies the block rate for everyone and for whow long your staying for.

At leat that's what I'm hoping for.

I know how to work Hotwire to a T Boss - when Sherri and I went to camp this last time we stayed at Amerisuites 15 min from the camp and we didn't hit the toll roads getting to camp.

(Anyone wanting to follow me on the back way in, just get in line)

I think we paid something like 35 bucks a night and it was a very nice place with a living room, mini kitchen, full fridge and bedroom area.

IIRC, they have an extra phone jack for your laptop or, in my case, my WebTV hookup. I don't think they have high-speed.

There is a swimming pool. And they keep the light on.

The only caveat is to find out if one of those mega-car shows is in town. When it is, the rates sometimes go up.
