Talk about the Washington Redskins here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

I can see it now... Thursday night football season opener at Fed Ex Field... It's Skins and Boyz, Gibbs and Parcells...

Patrick Ramsey goes 19 of 23 for 262 yards and 2 touchdowns on the day. Laveranues Coles catches 6 passes for 123 yards and a TD, Rod Gardner has 4 for 92 yards, and Darnerian McCants snaggs 3 balls for 29 yards and a touchdown...

The line leads the way for the undetermined RB (this part of the dream is still blurry) out of the backfield to go for 134 yards and two touchdowns...

Gregg Williams' defense pitches a shutout... The final score is 31-0, and the Skins are out of the gates on a roll...

That is a far fetched dream right? That can't and never will happen right? Well if I would have told you seven days ago today, that Joe Gibbs would come back to coach the Redskins, ou would have laughed at me. So laugh at that predicition now, because there is nothing that says it can't happen...

Hey... you have to have visions right?

Personally I think that if we do play the Cowboys that unfortunately, while Joe Gibbs is incredible, it his first game, and it would be a lot closer than that.

Redskins 26, Cowboys 0

ROTFALMAO

yeah baby... don't forget the safety by Lavar!!!!!
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

I don't think they'll be back on the Thursday opener. They've only had two and I think the NFL and ABC will want to rotate other teams into that matchup. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Eagles or Patriots as the host team in 2004.

But the Redskins sure did become more attractive for other prime-time games. Before the Gibbs hire, I would have thought one SNF game and maybe a MNF against an NFC East opponent.

But now ... you betcha. Don't be surprised to see one DAL-WSH on Monday night.

I can say one thing, we won't be terrible against our own division anymore. I can't wait to see us actually play like we're competitive and professionals. We are gonna have a lot of good games this season. :D

It will finally be nice to see us at the top of the league in the good catergories, like best line protection, least sacks allowed, not the penalties, and hopefully, Williams will get a defense playing the way the should and could play. We will be in the top 5 in defense next year.

I don't want to play Dallas early, but you KNOW the people in scheduling won't resist the early matchup for ratings.

Neither do I, but I feel you are correct, can you see all the Hype and Press, Gibbs VS. The Fat Tuna. I would like to see them about week 6, let Gibbs get a few wins under his belt, correct a few mistakes and then hand Dallass a good beating.

I agree with you; however, I am confident that the very first "MONDAY NIGHT" game of the year will be DALLAS v. REDSKINS!

ROFL

I wouldn't mind seeing Redskins vs. Cowboys as the Monday night opener... but, on the other hand... let me think about that some more

I forget, when exactly do they release the 2004 schedule?

It will be sometime in early-to-mid April.

Dang... that's a long time to wait!

I did notice, however, that the 'Skins non-division road games are pretty favorable... they get to play the tough ones at home :)

regardless of when we play the pukes....at least we'll feel like we have a disciplined team that won't beat themselves and embarrass their fans and will compete

no more embarrassment like the past, what 11-12 years?
God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.
We'll miss you, Joe.
