The Hogs, Version 2!

Postby Jake » Sat Jan 10, 2004 10:53 pm

This is a great pic. I bet we will see more like these when Fiore gets healthy and we pick up a center after we cut Moore. I think we'll let him go. :?

Friedman deserves to be our center!! Can you image the twin tight end package with Winey and Fiore at tight end!! All I can say is that would be a lot of beef!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yes it would! That conjures up memories of another heart-warming phrase from the Gibbs vernacular:

HEAVY JUMBO
***** Hail To The Redskins!!! *****

BA + MS = A New Beginning

I know it is the tight end package but we could get some athletic lineman to play tight end--similar to Friedman!!

i like moore. another blue collar worker that gets no recognition. will probably be cut and win a SB with another team, just like so many former redskin "blue collar types" that weren't good enuff :? great pic though jake, i'll have to save that one to my collection.

Somehow... i missed this thread.

Just for clarification... to most people there have actually already been two versions of the Hogs.... the originals, and then what they eveolved into in the late 80s early 90s was version II.

Starke, May, Jacoby, Grimm and Bostic, were the originals but a lot of people think that when Riggo and Starke retired in '84 that the unit emerged from that, was version II. The unit consisted of linemen Grimm, Bostic, Raleigh McKenzie, Jim Lachey and Jacoby. And by our second SB win, they were as devastating as the first hogs version, in fact, the '91 SB o-line was perhaps the greatest ever to play the game. Mark Rypien was sacked just 9 times ALL YEAR, including playoffs.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

Yep, just during the playoffs, I hear so many former Redskins names being annouced.

We need blue collar workers with open minds or thy will be cut.

Gibbs does not play!!!!!

He will not tolerate BS!!! He is strictly by the numbers. :D

I'll put my faith in Gibbs' judgement.. how many players went on to do anything after they were Redskins under Gibbs' first tenure?

Granted it's harder this time around, but I think you'll see better judgements on players in the future.

I can't wait to see the JUMBO packages again! Hell yea! Smash mouth football, baby! Put the smaller pukes' d on their worthless heals and run 'em over! Run over Roy Williams as well....I want a bigger back that can put him in his place. I know he's good, but I want to see him flattened!

God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.

ricky williams and miami made him look like an amateaur on thanksgiving. the new hogs will do a much better job, now that they will be bulldozing over people, instead of standing on their heels.

And Rypien bought them all Rolexes because of it. I'd be willing to bet Ramsey would put up the same deal if they could keep his jersey clean...

I bet he would buy them all Rolls Royces if he could stay under ten sacks for the entire year ::grin::
