Could I vote for both Joey T and Sonny?

I was 12 years old in 1988. One night I was flipping through the channels on TV and found the Super Bowl XXII pre-game show on. I had never really gotten into pro football before but decided that I would check it out anyway. After watching the commentators sizing up the skins and broncos, I decided that I would root for the Redskins! After watching Doug Williams and the gang whip up on Denver all night long, I decided that I now had a reason to watch pro football. I have been a die-hard skins fan ever since. So, in short, my vote would have to be for Doug as my favorite QB.

I would have vote for Joe Heisman simply because I never watched Sonny play and well as much as I like the other two they only played for roughly a season.

A better poll would have been your least favorite QB: George, Shuler, Schroeder, Banks, Wuerrfel, Matthews--I hated all these guys except maybe for Jay Schroeder
Death to all things remotely BLUE and SILVER!!!!!!!!!!! Hail Skins

i've got to agree with kkryan - i never saw sonny play either and therefore couldn't vote for him. but i stand by my vote of douggie, even if it is more for personal annoyance reasons than actual football merit.

Anyone remember Tom Flick (I got his autograph at Carlisle one year), Stan Humphries, Bob Holly and Babe Laufenberg?

Only Stan got a chance and did well for the Chargers if my memory serves.

I voted for Doug

The Poll asks FAVOURITE QB not who you thought was the best

Doug always gave 136% effort and that was good enough for me

Never saw Sonny play and Joe was always overshadowed by Riggo

Yeah. Didn't you love the complexity and innate intelligence shown by the group of writers, each representing the pride of their respective staffs, when they had a chance to ask Doug Williams for his personal take on the game about to be played ?
"So, Doug. How does it feel to be a black quarterback ?"

Jesus Christ. Where do they find these guys ? A blind ad in the back of Rolling Stone Magazine ?

Gotta go with Joey T. I remember when the 'Skins beat the Cowpukes in the NFC Championship game in '82, I was at a friend's house, and this big Irishman who had come to the States and fallen in love with the Redskins came across the room and gave me a bear hug, I was gasping for him to put me down so that I could breathe. Not that I love being hugged by a guy, but the game was great. Rypien would get a second place for me, if for no other reason than because I hate Jerry Glanville and Rypien burned his @ss in the playoffs in '92.
R.I.P. Andrew McDonough 9/3/92 - 7/14/07. Love & miss you, #20.

I can't vote for Joe T b/c of the way he seems to have turned since his career ended. Now, I know as a TV analyst you're not supposed to be biased but he doesn't even hint to any sort of loyalty to the Burgundy and Gold. However, Sonny is still in the thick of it... covering the Redskins constantly and not wavering for a moment as to who his team is! As for Ryp and DW, although they bring back fond memories and I love them dearly, they don't seem to bleed Redskins like Sonny does!

I saw Art Monk in the Safeway parking lot in Great Falls, VA on 3/26/2005. It was AWESOME!
