Any particular veteran backups you would like to see come to the Redskins...

I have heard that Jeff George has already arranged to meet with the team....

Yea, U made my heart drop, I want to see Ramsey and Hasselback succeed, HASSELBACK got me on his bandwagon, he thoroughly impressed me. He'll be working for someone.

I still wish we had picked up O'Donnell last year - he has proven himself to be a winner as a starter or off the bench, but I suppose if we have to have someone, Brunell behind a Bugel line where he won't be pounded so bad will be a good option. The man can throw the ball for sure and is a warrior from what I have witnessed.

Of course - some of our Florida brethren may have seen otherwise - I don't see that much of him.

I've never been a Shaun King fan....too inconsistent.

Griese, in my opinion, is not the type of "mature" backup Gibbs wants.

I think he's gonna be wanting an older guy.

Florida bretheren here...Brunell has alot of heart and is gritty...but has a tendancy for injuries...but I guess in a reserve role that wouldn't be such a huge issue. I wouldn't turn him away...but that's just me.

We already chose Rob Johnson over Shaun King, before the season started...which speaks volumes knowing how sorry Johnson turned out to be. Warner would probably not move to another backup role...but if he could...I think he would be an outstanding choice.

Hmmm... I think that Rypien thinks that he still has some game left in him ;)

I don't have anyone in mind that they should go after, but I don't think they will NEED to use their 3rd QB for any other reason next season other than injury (not due to performance).

If need be, I would like to see Brunell, he has been a solid player in the past, and the injurys he has been having won't happen because Ramsey will finally get some protection, might need him in the 4th quarter when we are blowing out the other team, which I have a feeling will happen alot this year.

I like Brunnell but ONLY if the price is right. Too many other teams need a starter and I think he will land in Dallass because it is obvious to Big BILL that Quincy is not an NFL QB!!!!

we aren't going to find a "great" back up. if a guy is good enuff too start in this league, thats what he'll want to do. and there are plenty of openings. personally, i'd rather have warner(if the rams dump him) than brunell. but, he too, is good enuff to start, and will find work elsewhere. arz might dump jeff blake, and he has a hell of an arm too. would be cheap as well, and has been in the league for about 10 years.

I like Brunell as a backup and believe Rypien did try out somewhere last year and may have participated in the preseason....am I right?

I think if he can still perform physically, he'd be a great choice....and what a story.
God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.
We'll miss you, Joe.

Warner is absolutely out of the question. He would want a whole bunch of money, and him and his wife publicly have said he wants to start somewhere. Brunell would probably not be a good option for us because he might cost a little too much for a backup, and hes probably looking for an opportunity to start somewhere as well. I think Shaun King would be a good option, as well as Blake. Lets please not get started about Rypien, he is TOO OLD and wasnt even that great when he was young.
