PLEASE!?!?

Postby ANT7088 » Tue Jan 13, 2004 10:51 am

They really need to get Steve Spurrier's stupid looking face off the WashingtonPost website. Everytime I click on the "Redskins" and scroll down, there he is looking at me, with the same stupid expression that he had for the last 2 years! GET IT OFF! Put a picture of Gibbs, I don't ever want to see or hear of Spurrier again. Am I wrong?

lol... I don't think you're wrong. He's not a part of the team anymore, and seeing him probably doesn't bring back good memories for anybody... so they probably have just overlooked it still being there. :)

they're probably gonna leave it there as long as they have a section about the 2003 season. that's who you associate the 5-11 record with, right? i guess if you're looking for a silver lining you can view it as a reminder of how far we've come coaching-wise. or you can just print it out and throw darts at it!

I think we should leave it up there, along with the faces and names of Turner, Robiskie, Schottenheimer. It's evolution. Without reflection, we can't appreciate where we are now and we can easily forget what we lived through to get here.

ROTFALMAO

hey let it stay up there.

Use it as a stark daily reminder of how much better off we suddenly have become.

Before last week... that guy's what our hopes were pinned to.

But not anymore.

Yep... and when there was speculation that he would be gone, NONE of the coaching candidates out there excited me in the least. I really had no hope. I thought we were doomed to become the football version of "Groundhog Day".

I really think that the Joe Gibbs hire sets into motion a plan that will result in the Redskins being restored to their former status as one of the NFL's perennially successful teams (and Gibbs' exit this time, MANY years from now, will not be spur of the moment, and he will hand-pick his successor... well, at that point he and Dan Snyder will be on the same page and Snyder will have learned how to run a team... and Gibbs will be involved with the 'Skins for the rest of his life) :P

Yeah, man. That's good. How about this ?
There could be a section on the Post' site, a gallery of sorts of those coaches who've come and gone. Around each, you could superimpose a circle with the slanted line through it. They could call it, "America's Least Wanted".

Problem was, he kept getting sacked by the drunks in the bar when he wouldn't get rid of the dart fast enough!
