What do you guys think of signing Walter Rasby? He is a good blocking TE and could contribute to a good running game if we can sign Sam Gash from Buffalo!!!

Rasby could be a reasonable facsimile of Don Warren, but why would we want Sam Gash? Granted he's a good blocking back, but if Gibbs is determined to run the one-back offense you don't need one.

Rasby...6'3', 250+ lbs. No fumbles in his 134 game career. 10 Year man. Played with Steelers, Panthers, Lions, us and signed a one year deal with N.O. last year. Played in 16, started 7. 6 catches, 55 yards. Blocks well. Good choice.
Gash ? Classic FB. AFC Least guy. Played with Pats, Bills, Ravens, Bills again. Good hands, excellent receiver. 35 years old in March. Might be too long in the tooth.

Walter Rasby is a quality tight end, and an equally productivee presence in the locker room. He would be a very nice addition.

I for one, would welcom him home with open arms. Matter of fact, I would make Taylor Jacobs give him his number 86 back, and switch to another number in the 80's.
