Ricot Joseph

Postby Jake » Sat Jan 17, 2004 10:37 pm

Why on Earth did we not bring back Ricot Joseph at ANY point last year or this month? He is a decent DB (better than Jimoh... sorry Ade) and is a VERY solid special teamer. He is a cool guy who produced when asked to. I know the Bengals picked him up last week or so but why hasn't his name ever been mentioned recently around the Skins organization. He is one player I was starting to like. I think, behind David Terrell, Joseph was the person who got to the returner first on kickoffs in 2002. IMO, that was a very bad choice to cut him and keep Ade. Sorry, just had to shed some light on certain spots that aren't usually looked upon.

ade was a mistake. i don't think he'll be back around next year. as for joseph, like we've said before, marvin picks up every guy we cut.

With the Coaches & Coordinators we had last year, I will give any guy on this roster a second chance. Let Joe Gibbs & Gregg Williams look at Jimoh and give there opinion. Just like Betts, Cartwright, Hamdan, McCants, Jacobs and most of the guys that Spurrier drafted, Jimoh didn't show what he can do with a real coach. Did Lavar Arrington play the same this year under George Edwards than last year with Marvin Lewis? Do you think Arrington will play better next year under Gregg Williams than he did this year under Edwards? We all know the answer, my point, give every guy we have on this roster 1 more look, let the REAL coaches cut them if thats what they deserve, but we CAN'T go by the way everyone played under Spurrier!

Ade Jimoh's situation didn't really have much to do with Steve Spurrier. Ade just simply kept on gettting beat, especially on long passes. He needs to go. Theres a reason he was undrafted.

I agree with looking at most people fresh, but wasn't Jimoh the one who went 100% in the new "permit defense" in allowing TD throws against him?

Ricot Joseph looked just as bad as Jimoh in preseason against second and third stringers. I think we should have kept Alex Molden.
oops....sorry!

that puzzled me so much when we got rid of molden... it sounded like when we signed him in the last offseason it was to keep him... i really saw no reason to get rid of him so abruptly as we did... wouldve been less tds on him that with our other guys.. oh well

Molden was terrible. He got beat REALLY bad in the preseason. And it wasnt even against starters, it was against 2nd and third string receivers. He even got cut by DETROIT later after we got rid of him. I didnt want to accept the fact at first, but he was pretty bad.
