They must because Chris Thompson just tore his ACL and had broken 2 vertebrae in his back. They must think he's a 1st or 2nd round talent if not for the injuries. He's a Darren Sproles type. One thing we can't do is second guess Shanahan when it comes to running backs. This guy is 5 foot 8 and 195lbs. He's a change of pace guy. Apparently he's more talented than Barner in their eyes. We will see. HAIL

Well, a torn ACL isn't what it used to be. He's probably going to be able to at least compete with Helu this year.

Stronger and a bit more bruising than sproles, but fast like him.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

Not totally understanding why we're going with back to back damaged goods.

Apparently Brandon Jenkins was the man before suffering a Lis Franc injury. At this point in the draft, it looks like the team is opting for guys with 1st day talent but who got injured. It's a gamble either way, but if they are right on these guys, you get a more talented player when they return to being healthy.

Makes total sense for a team looking to get deeper.

Either they think Polumbus is still growing into the job or they must be thinking Compton is going to become the man. The 2 FA's are experienced depth at best. Only way I can make sense of the lack of urgency at the RT position.
