Orioles Land Jason Grimsley

I can't tell if congratulations are in order... :-k

Granted, Grimsley is a good short reliever, but he's old... when do the O's plan on getting back into the playoffs? Also, couldn't the Orioles have done this BEFORE they let the Yankees have their way with them?

I saw on ESPN's BottomLine "to the Orioles for P Denny Bautista"
I was thiking "Oooh, this deal has to be good! They traded one of their top minor league prospects. They must have gotten a good deal in return!"

Well, I was let down after waiting until the transaction came up on TV again. They could have gotten a much better deal than just Grimsley. I know Bautista was horrible this year but he is very young and has lots of room to improve.

That trade was horrendous. The Orioles are already out of the playoff picture, and there are plenty of Grimsley's in free agency.

I'm just glad I'm a Red Sox fan. (Not that glad mind you, watching an All-Star team play .500 ball for two months isn't exactly fun, it's just more fun than watching the Orioles...)
I'm bored, I'm broke, and I'm back.
