Colts, Manning agree on record contract

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Redskin relevance.

Manning is now officially the NFLs A-rod with a deal like that. It will be interesting to see want player Indy can put around that big contract to win.

I said to taz just last night that a new standard would be set with Manning's new contract... but a $35 M signing bonus? Yikes.

That's Snyder-esque.

They better get 5 years out of him or man is it gonna sting their cap huge...

... oh and hey fezzik, Ottawa eh? I'm just down the highway from ya in London.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

I know - I was eating at the time and the fork didn't make it to my mouth for several minutes... I just kinda sat frozen listening to these reports thinking that they just hamstrung their team for one guy...

I think it would be safe to say that 100 million $ salary cap will be here soon. Football is really starting to takeoff with all the crap going on in baseball.

I also think Pop Warner and high school coaches will produce better athletes because of the rulings. The business would demand it.

I understand from what I heard this morning, that this deal is very cap friendly. I'd take Payton with a cap friendly deal...regardless of the #s.
