Will Bears bench Kordell?
The Bears may be ready to give Kordell Stewart the hook. The Chicago Sun-Times' Brad Biggs reports that coach Dick Jauron refused to answer questions about whether or not Stewart will start for the Bears on Sunday.

Williams has lost Bills
Bills coach Gregg Williams' job appears to be in jeopardy. Rochester Democrat and Chronicle columnist Scott Pitoniak thinks that Williams has lost the Bills players and that he could be in danger of losing his job.

McGinnis watch is on
The buzzards are starting to circle around Dave McGinnis. Even though his job security is in question, McGinnis told the East Valley Tribune's Dan Zeiger that he doesn't think that it will become a distraction.

Brunell too expensive for Dolphins
Don't bet on Mark Brunell being dealt to Miami. The Palm Beach Post's Joe Schad reports that the Dolphins are committed to Jay Fiedler and won't pay Brunell $6.5 million next season to back him up.

Cowboys interested in 49ers' Barlow
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram's Clarence E. Hill Jr. reports that the Cowboys may pull of a trade before today's deadline. The Cowboys called the 49ers about Kevin Barlow, but the 49ers weren't interested in dealing him.
