Colts haikus

Postby BossHog » Thu Oct 19, 2006 9:14 am

3 lines... 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables

Where is the Skins 'fire'?
Without it, they will be crushed.
With it, there's a chance.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

Two Redskins teams exist
One plays well, one plays poorly
Which team plays Sunday?

Underdogs will win
Colts Overly confident
Redskins Victory
Whenever I start to get blue, I just breathe!

My favortie line from the Simpsons:

Flanders: "Looks like someone is having a pre-rapture party!"

Homer: "No Flanders, it's a meeting of gay witches for abortion , you wouldn't be interested!"

Will Dominick Rhodes also?
I do not think so.

The Redskins will win
Generic haiku says so
They will beat the Colts
"Last year I thought we'd win it all. This year I know we will." - Rex Ryan, on what would become the 8-8 2011 Jets

"Dream team." - Vince Young, on what would become the 8-8 2011 Eagles

Run, run, run the ball
Right into the Colts defense
Run, run, run the ball
R.I.P. Christopher Wallace (May 21, 1972 - March 9, 1997)

R.I.P. Sean Taylor (April 1, 1983 - November 27, 2007)

We're a wounded team.

With our backs against the wall.

Let's come out swinging!

Rogers will not play
Springs is still not at full speed
Colts score 10 touchdowns

Brunell saves his job
Has standard monthly good game
Then, back to sucking

Redskins fight guts out
Truly heroic effort
In this together

Redskins beat the Colts
If only by eleven,
I'd still be happy!

Negative:

Tough game coming up.
Hoof marks stamped on our behinds?
It sure looks that way.

Positive:

Skins will take the field.
They'll ride the ponies Sunday.
Redskins will prevail.

NOTE- What is the longest one syllable word? stamped is pretty long to only be one syllable. Which it is btw, I looked it up.

Looked up what? That 'stamped' was the longest one syllable word?

:hmm:

Off the top of my head...

Scratched, stretched, screeched, squelched, strength, shrugged, straight...

I guess all the real long words are 's' words too.

No, I looked up stamped to make sure it was only one syllable, because it seemed too long...

I just wonder what the longest is, but was pretty sure stamped wasn't it.
