| You never know. Draft him in the 3rd. Let him learn on the bench for a year. He doesn't have to start right away. His potential is huge and his age isn't much different from Fitgerald or Udeze. If the skins signed a Charlie Garner, I could see putting Clarett on the bench to be ready in a year or two. If he gets hurt, well, the NFL has insurance. |

I just don't see a flood gate opening and HS players rushing into the NFL. It is such a different game physically from other sports and most would get beat like they stole something. Shoot, most college kids find out real quick the difference - just ask Spurrier.  |

| It is a big difference. But different positions need more or less experience. RB lives are getting shorter and shorter as is. It might work to bring guys in at 20 for RB. The real issue for the NFL is that Clarett is upsetting their establishes (FREE) minor league system. Baseball and Hockey have to pay for it. But Football has a great 4 year system that is free. You don't think they are going to fight back when that is threatened. Of course they are. They whole injuries to guys that are too young is only a small consideration. |
