Q&A With Sportstalk 980's Bram Weinstein

Postby JansenFan » Mon Sep 26, 2005 3:34 pm

THN is pleased to announce that Sportstalk 980's Redskin beat reporter Bram Weinstein has agreed to join us for a live Q&A session on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 3:00PM.

Please use the next week to submit questions for Bram in this thread. Next Monday, the staff will go through the questions and select the best 10-20 questions.

Once the questions have been selected, we will contact the poster who asked the question, and you will be assigned a number. This is the order that you, the poster will ask your question to Bram.

If you cannot be present at 3:00PM to ask your question, let us know when you are contacted so that we can have someone ask it for you.

Let's show our appreciation to Bram for sharing his intimate knowledge of the team we all love by coming up with intelligent, well-though-out questions.

We can also show our appreciation by listening to the Bram Weinstein Show weeknights at 7:00PM. For more information about the show, check out Bram's website or his blog.

Wow what a birthday gift! I'll think of a few for him. Although I'm sure he'll be insightful even if he doesn't get to mine.

No one has any questions? No one wants to know whether the real Redkins offense was the one in the first three quarters or the last 4 minutes? No one has a question about LaVar? No one wants to know about the punter situation or John Hall's injury?

What's going on with Lavar.
Is his playing time down because of the packages GW has been using or does Lavar still have knee problems?

I'd like to know a few things but I won't hog the thread... yet... I guess I'll start with:

What is his all-time favorite personal interview with a Redskin player? And further to that, does he remember any of the questions and answers that made it special for him?

As far as LaVar goes, is he being slowly inserted into the defense because of his injury or is he being phased out of the defense because of the contract dispute? Do the coaches feel he is deemed "replaceable" and want him to leave after 2006?

In your opinion which player is going to suprise fans this year?

Many other NFL teams have implemented programs to help get women excited and involved with the teams, is there anything that you know of in the works to do the same here in Washington? Or better yet as a member of the media is there any way you can motivate the powers that be to make something likewise happen or suggest a way for the fans to get the ball rolling on a similar program?

Also, I know you're still a fan but how hard was it to make the transition from fan to media member?

Wow, Bram's blog is pretty nice. . .a lot of good inside info on the Skins. Thanks for linking that, JF.

1) What is the status of John Hall?
2) At what point does the coaching staff consider moving him to IR to free up another roster spot?
3) Is there talk of an injury settlement, and if an injury settlement is reached, is the signing bonus accelerated immediately as if a player was cut?

What is the prevailing mood on the inside of the locker room? How would you compare this to prevoius years, including last year?

of course, asking in the present tense, at the time of the question, "Give us an inside scoop, what do you know about the skins situation right now, that the general public doesn't know of?"

and if he says 'nothing', press harder, and say 'come on, you must know something....
