Jay Novacek picks the redskins to lose Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Jay Novacek:

Redskins (1-0) at Falcons (1-0)
It was important for Redskins coach Steve Spurrier to see his offense succeed against the Jets, even if it wasn't running up the score like he could in his Florida days.
The Falcons defense, however, is pretty good. Atlanta's front four and linebackers are good, and they did a good job confusing Dallas' line and offense. They need to continue to do that to make things easier for the offense until Michael Vick returns.
Looking at this matchup, the Falcons were successful last season, and they face a team that is inconsistent, the Redskins. You never know how Washington will fare.
Because of what the Falcons have done last season and this year, they have an advantage. They are familiar with each other, they're a cohesive unit, and it will be tougher for the Redskins to get back up mentally. It?s not the individual Washington players as much as the team, which will have trouble staying consistent.
Pick: Falcons.

What a load of crap. Well what do you expect from a Cowpuke?

Not a single comment baed on football itself, just his 'philosophical views' on the importance of a 'consistent' effort.

... drivel.

Thanks for posting that... I can't believe some of this garbage gets published... so much for the benefit of an 'educated' reporter. Might as well just check the stats and file the game... what is the point in even playing? Wink

I love the fact that the whole basis for his argument is consistency and I guess we just haven't showed any consistency in our ONE GAME. Or does jay think teams are the same from one year to the next? That's an educated view of football in the days of free agency and salary caps. Rolling Eyes

What an idiot. Twisted Evil

Trivia: How do you know an article was written by a fervent Redskin hater?

When the only name mentioned in a head to head match-up article is Steve Spurrier.

No mention of a guy named Michael Vick either.

I'm glad our exclusive content is considerably better than this mindless psychobabble. Somebody shoot me if i ever write such an uninformed article... please. Smile

Reporting - hah!

And this guy supposedly went to college to write crap like that?

I write better articles at 2 in the morning drunk with our victory over the Jets than that puke.

Nothing really of substance, that is for sure. I can't believe that people like him get jobs the staff on here would kill for, just to write smarmy little articles based on nothing. No facts, no stats, no nothing. Did you notice that the fool actually wrote that Atlanta's front four were pretty good? Does the idiot remember that they primarily (90% or more of the time) run the 3-4 defense?

What a goof.
