What was up with John Hall yesterday? Was there any word as to why he regressed tremendously yesterday? I know it was a scrimmage and all yesterday, but, man, he really needs to shape up. Joe pointed out that we won 6 games by 3 points or less last year, and we really gotta have a solid kicker.
Phillly has Akers.
Dallas now has the Liquored-up Kicker.
Not sure about the Giants' (please fill in).
And, it appears, we have damaged goods. Any word on how his competition is doing in TC? |

I can't explain why he shanked two in the scrimmage but I can tell you that BEFORE the scrimmage started, the kickers were practicing field goals... and Hall banged three in a row through from 50 (and had a few yards to spare). He then moved back to kick from 53 and while it had to bounce off the crossbar... it was good.
Hall's healthy again, I'm personally not worried about it.
... I'm personally a lot more interested in the battle between Frost and Lonie at punter. |

Yeah, I heard that he was doing well in warm-ups as well, which made it even more surprising that he was missing from closer in.
Perhaps he was shaken by the wave.
Speaking of punters, did anyone else notice the Ravens' punter (#22) during special teams drills? Looking at the roster handed out, it appeared that a CB took over punting duties for a while. Boy was THAT guy awful. It sure made me feel better about Frost. |

| Yeah, Tyler Jones from Boise St. He kicked in NFL Europe and was very consistant. He played for Hamburg SeaDevils. |

Tyler Jones in the battle for the place kicking duties. Jones is a 6”1” 198 lbs. 23 year old from Boise State. He did not play in 2005 but in the 3 years prior, he was pretty consistent. In 2004 he made 88.9% of the field goals he attempted (24-27) he only had one miss from 38 yards or shorter and was 14 of 16 beyond 30 yards. Jones holds the NCAA record for consecutive extra points with 77. He also set single-season records for field goals with 24 and extra points with 75. He spent his off-seasons in Hamburg Germany kicking in NFL Europe, where he made 11 of 14 field-goal tries. |
