The minute the fans make more sense than the ST coach, I feel we are in trouble.

Danny Smith is a popular coach with the players. Fans are not as excited about him though. ST play has been average at best over the last two seasons when it used to be one of our stregths in years past under Allen and Gibbs.

The big question is, now that the problem is obvious, what is the team going to do about punter and kicker, in that order of priority.

BUT if it is going to be fixed there surely isn't all the time in the world to do so. What kind of planning was taking place when everybody in the division is arguing that several games this season might be decided by a field goal and punting for field position?

I am not pleased at all. For the first time in a while, I am not pleased at all with our negligence regarding these two positions.

Clearly, you're letting your emotions get the best of you, RiC. Special teams was awesome in Gibbs' first year back. Do you recall how many punts we down inside the five yard line???

Granted, with the loss of Tupa last year, production has dropped off, but that's no reason to say this coaching staff is not doing it's all to bolster up Special Teams.

Come opening day, these guys will be ready.

I can't even roll with you on this one. ST's have been average at best since Gibbs came back. Last year we just got a lot of lucky bounces.

Who is to say that Frost is going to get those bounces again this year?
He can't down the ball within the 20.
Hall had a FG blocked and shanked one yesterday.
Hall can't kick off.
Frosty can kick off but sucks at it.

There arent any scheming debates going on with special teams. Either you kick good or you dont. They aren't. With the coverage issues we've been having (which is possibly due to the starters not being inserted) we need every kick off near the 5 yard line or further.
