I just stumbled across this article from the Post, and I was wondering if any of you have used this device at FedEx this year:

Kangaroo TV Adds Another Dimension to Fan Experience

The NFL's next big thing could be a small, yellow television that rents for $39.95 and can be found in the hands of Washington Redskins fans this season at FedEx Field.

The gadget known as Kangaroo TV, which weighs a pound and is the size of a fist, allows fans to watch any NFL game live on DirecTV from their seats. The device is one part of the NFL's effort to find new media avenues to distribute its product.

Read the rest here.

How does Skins nation feel about this? This is the first time I'd heard about it.

Your thoughts?

They stopped by the purple lot last game and tried to sign me up. I told them, "Why would I need to watch other games on DirecTV when I am watching the Skins live?

Now, if you can take the device with you and use it whereever/whenever, it would be cool.

As it stands, I think you can only rent them for the games.

Puke

this is the kind of crap that is why fantasy football is becoming a plague. there is certainly nothing inherently wrong with it...

but if you are AT a frickin' redskins game, and are more worried about your fantasy team, do the world a favor and give your tickets to someone who will follow the game.

Man, talk about ADD. If there isn't enough for you to watch at a live game, you need help.

hey if you want to know the stats and figures from other games open up you cell phone and check the scores on NFL.com but if yo u want to go to a skins game and watch another one on a handheld TV you should have your ticket donated to charity.

However it wouldn't be that bad an idea for use at a tailgate party while waiting for a late game. But I doubt they let those units leave the gates.

I haven't been to a game in three years so, I ask -- do they still have an out-of-town scoreboard somewhere in the stadium?

Has anyone tried it?

It is pretty cool I tried one a few weeks ago and in betwen quarters and during timeouts it is really entertaining. Dont knock it until you try it.
