Sean Taylor portrait
G'day All,
As part of the tributes coming in for Sean, I have just completed a 6 ft by 5 ft oil painting portrait of number 21. It is a collection of 7 different images of him throughout his career. The portrait will be unveiled at Childrens Hospital on January 17th and will remain there until March. The painting will be sold and a percentage goes to Childrens Hospital. A reception will be held that day and I will post more details of the day once the hospital admin sets the times when they get back in the new year.
Cheers for now

Can you post a pic of it here for those of us who are not in the area and cannot visit the hospital?
Thanks in advance.

That's awesome. Can you get them to mass produce this into 20x30 posters to sell online for the benefit of any Charity?
I will buy one.....

I will see what can be done. I just talked to the hospital today and the reception is on January 17th from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm and they will unveil it then. Unfortunately a family tragedy has come up in Australia and I have to leave in two days so I can't be there. The person to contact at the hospital is Greg Scott gscott@cnmc.org
As far as I know the reception is open to everyone. I hope you all can make it.
Cheers

Hi Folks,
The unveiling of Sean Taylors portrait has been postponed until Jan 24th as bad weather hit and they wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to get down for the reception. Unfortunately I cannot be there as a family tragedy came up in Australia and I had to leave immediately.
Hope you all can make it, should be a good show
Cheers

Hi folks,
The show went very well, I heard it had a big turnout, this short video was produced to show the different stages of the painting which took aprox 150 hours of work.

Beautiful and dynamic work, Jason. You really captured Sean's spirit; he looks alive and ready to jump off the canvas.
I also thought that your Steve Irwin portrait was excellent. You certainly have real talent.
Please consider offering prints of the Sean Taylor portrait as well.
Thanks very much for sharing this with us.

Good work, my man......
I will purchase a print once you've completed it.... Giving to Charity is a beautiful thing.... Sean Taylor would be proud.
