He Got Me...
George McPhee called me today and said it was an emergency. He told me that our coach had come down with a bad case of the flu. He said it was so bad he couldn't make it to the game tonight. He said Bruce was going to try but after looking at him, George didn't think he would be able to do his job.

George then asked for my opinion on whether he should step behind the bench or which of our two assistant coaches should get the nod. We debated the pros and cons and then George said "April Fools!" I fell for it...he got me.

Ted Leonsis has to be the most down-to-earth owner of a professional sports franchise I have ever seen. And probably the only one a fan can walk right up to without being escorted away by security.

I'm glad the Caps are playing their butts off, for Ted, if not for the fans.
He deserves the same effort he gives.

It was cool when the camera panned over to him last night and he was wearing a Caps jersey over his shirt and tie. It be neat to see the Danny do that for a Skins game next year.
