I just watched him on NFLN and he's calling out the fans for bailing on the team. I think that he's got it all wrong. Somebody close to him needs to convey to him that we aren't bailing on the team (I, for one, never will), but that we're bailing on the owner and his decision not to have a real football mind in as GM to build this team.
I think that Zorn is in way over his head, but it's not his fault. Bringing in Lewis is a moronic move, whether or not he calls better plays. Who wouldn't have signed on as HC if you were brought in as QB coach? I know I would've. That extra "0" or two at the end of my salary would've been just too easy to say "yes" to. Not bringing in a real GM that then picks his HC and staff is just a bad way to go. The proof is in the pudding.

If that's the impression the Player's are getting, and I could see how they do (booooo), then the fan's need to change their mindset.

What show was it on?

Regarding "their" impressions... If Santana is actually reading what the fans are saying, then he knows better.

For me? Forget it. I have no intention of granting a pass to the team, just because Santana isn't paying attention to what the fans are saying, and has decided to take it personally. Fine. Take it personally... and take it out on somebody on the field.

And, Santana... what's the quickest way to get the fans in a better mood? How do you shut up the "boos?" Bet you know.

Don't get me wrong. I think the product on the field needs to improve - a lot!!! But I also think that we need to support the fans. We don't really know what's going on totally. We have wonderful access but no where near access if we were out there daily, etc. We think we know, but we don't. So I choose to support the players that are there but not support the ownership and Vinny. Hell, I'm even OK with Zorn keeping his job if we were to get a really good GM in here and he thought it was the best move.

my feeling on the players is that they know if a new coach comes in alot of them will be finding a new home. So of course they want to see this turn around and they know that they need us to help them do that.

But I don't think that we have bailed on the team i think we have bailed on the owner and there is nothing that we want more then to see them succeed

Regardless, next year I see these players gone:

Jcam
Sellers
ARE
Samuels
Heyer (the whole O line)

Heck...who did I miss?

The core of the Skins franchise, (if I were GM) would be:

Fletcher
Cooley
Haynesworth
Orakpo
Horton
Samuels (IR?)
Doughty
Jarmon
Sellers

Veterans kept on the roster for mediocre salaries:
Grif
Daniels
Carter
McIntosh
Dockery
Heyer
R. Thomas
T. Collins

Players I'd have to sit down with and explain this is their last chance before I move them in a trade or cut them:
Landry
Kelly
Rinehart
Devin Thomas

Players I'd release, attempt to trade etc:
Moss
ARE
Rabach
D. Hall
Portis
Betts
Campbell

Any players not mentioned would likely be invited to camp and/or keep their current contracts. This team is top heavy, old and soft. Time to start over with a less talented, younger, hungrier team and build through the draft, getting better each year.

The fans have bailed on the team. I don't know why anyone thought that boos would be interpreted as the fans being upset with Snyder. And it is ridiculous to expect the players not to take it at all to heart. (I guess they shouldn't get fired up when everyone is cheering, either, right?)

I do not agree with the boos. I still think it is in bad taste and reflects more poorly on the fans than the people they are jeering.

But, that said, I understand completely where they are coming from. We are in a very bad place right now.

So the core of your Skins franchise would include a 33 year old player with stenosis? yikes!

I'm hoping that the core of the team is determined by the way the players play together and not based on their talent - Snyder and Cerrato tried to put together the best team that money can buy for a while now and it has not worked - I think it's time to put together a team that plays well together not a bunch of all-stars that put up great stats but are not making the other players around them better

Nobody on this team should be kept here next year unless they make this team better despite what they have done in the past - the only players we need or should have playing here should be players that fit with the team concept of what the coaches want to achieve AND provide good quality depth - we have tried bringing in great players - we need to try and find players who can make the whole team better and be all-pro type NFL players, not find players who can play in the pro bowl

this franchise needs to find people that understand how to better evaluate the players and how they fit in with what the coaches need
