IMO, the issue is not that Dan wants to win, it's that his huge friggin EGO, makes him think he's the one who knows how to do it. Get a good GM and a good coach and leave them to it Dan!

I personally have no doubt that Dan loves the skins as much as I do. But open your eyes to the facts Dan.

But unfortunetely, he loves himself above all. His selfish ways will most likely continue.

Oh really? The Saints defense is 20th in the league. And what did he do with the Jaguars? They were 21st in the league last season and didn't last one season there. This year we have the 5th ranked defense and possible could have the 4th if it wasn't for our terrible offense. Last season we had the 5th ranked defense in the league. Greg Blache is over rated? Give me a break.

yeah! our 4th ranked defense was a part of an 8-8 record last year and our 5th ranked defense is a part of a team that is 2-5 this year - now let me see, the 20th ranked defense of the Saints is a part of ... it couldn't be 7-0 could it? Shocked
just amazing what you can do with stats isn't it Laughing take a look how the guy is doing that Williams replaced - #1 ranked D in the NFL

I don't think that Blache is over rated at all but in my opinion this defense is not playing as well as the stats would indicate :twocents:.

Yes, he inherited an pretty good D. GW is still working on revamping what he inherited.

I dont' like his style...play 10 yards off WR.
I want more BLITZES..... but who am I?

Blache must game plan in anticipation of loosing the time of possession battle. That has implications for how aggressive you want to be. That sucks, but that's reality for the Redskins today.

Fire all defensive guns repeatedly in the first half, only to repeatedly see your offense turn in another 3 and out... all you get is a very tired defense, unable to respond in the second half. Unfortunately, Blache knows that this team's best opportunities to win with limited offensive output are for the defense to keep them in the game... and that means the whole game.

Do I prefer a fired up, extremely aggressive defense? Heck yeah. Would I prefer to see Blache be more aggressive in dialing up blitzes? Heck yeah. But it's Blache that has to live with the consequences of burning out his team by the middle of the 3rd quarter... not me.

Cut the guy some slack.

Over rated? I don't know. It's a lot easier to judge a defensive coach if he doesn't have to worry about helping to cover a non-productive offense.

Sorry, I'm new. I don't think that the D is the problem...........If anything the Skins have a good D. Now the other side of the ball is just a disappointment. Reminds me of my Hokies. Thank God for a good D!

Our D may not be the big problem, but they are part of it. IMO it still is an area of concern because we score 17pts, this so called 5th ranked defense should be able to win wirth 17 pts, but we keep giving up points. THe Saints D is hands down much better than ours as a whole. Sure we might have better talent in some positions but GW schemes it so that his best players are center pieces. Darren Sharper is good, but when was the last time he was a beast like he is now? The Falcons we bewildered at how to stop the blitzes that GW threw at them as opposed to Blache's play 10 yds off recievers and send 4 to rush al day. Not to mention playing a 1st rd rook out of position. If GW was here, this D would be pulling, err, dragging this offense by the hair on the way to victory much like a few years ago. Ever since Blache took over this defense is on the decline, even with current additions, this D cannot protect this O for the win. Remember when we went to Tampa for a playoff game a few years ago. We had a fierce D that overcame the ineptitude of the O and came out with a win.

He's just what Danny Boy wants..."A YES Man", and for that very reason I hope he's gone next year.

Oh because he supported Dan Snyder? That makes him a yes man? Unbelievable. All the sudden he is a yes man since the other day. How come people like you didn't come out a long time ago and say this?
