Today’s Storyline

Beast of the Southeast – With a home-and-home sweep against Florida , the Capitals are now 4-0-0 on the season against Southeast Division foes and have a seven-point lead in the division standings. This is the first time that the Caps have won their first four games in division play since the NHL formed the Southeast before the 1998-1999 season. The Capitals’ previous best start in the division came two years ago, when they started the year 3-1-0.
