Today’s Storyline

Home run – Washington only has four home games in the next 33 days, which puts added importance on tilts like tomorrow night’s against Montreal . The Capitals have been outstanding at Verizon Center this year, tied for the best home record in the Eastern Conference at 7-1-3. They are 6-0-3 in their last nine at home and have won three straight, scoring an average of five goals per game in those contests. Bruce Boudreau, who won his 100th career game Wednesday in New York , is 57-18-9 all-time at Verizon Center (.732).
