Mike Iupati G Idaho

Postby HEROHAMO » Fri Jan 22, 2010 7:42 am

This guy is a very good player. He is projected to go late 1st or early second round. Every single clip I have seen of him he is dominating an opposing player.

Here are some clips of Mike.

He's a good player, but we need more help at tackle than we do need at guard.

Why not address both. Okung and iupati would be a great start to rebuilding our OL. Chances are though, he will get picked up in the first round by either pittsburgh or indiannapolis

That's what I mean. There is virtually no chance of being able to add both and tackle is obviously a more pressing need at this point.

The clips I saw, he as on much smaller guys. I hope he's nasty vs guys who may give up 50 lbs or more.
...any given Sunday....

RIP #21 Sean Taylor. You will be loved and adored by Redskins fans forever!!!!!

The point is that we could possibly take Okung in the first and him in the second, thus filling two holes in the OL with quality players in one draft.

Note that one of the clips he is going vs a USC defense that included Maualuga, Cushing, Ellis and a number of current NFL defenders.
Also note that he did not give up one sack his whole career. Yes Tackle is priority. However I think we could use talent across the whole offensive line. I also have a funny feeling Chris Samuels is coming back, all though we should not depend on him coming back.

I think Iupati is good enough to play right tackle at least. Not sure about left tackle.

I have studied a lot of the tackles so far. Okung is by far the most polished tackle. Bruce Campbell, Bryan Bulaga and the rest of the tackles have some work to do. Charles Brown is also very solid.

My favorites at tackle are Okung and Brown. My favorite lineman is Iupati.

Don't eat him! We might need him to play guard.

Mike Mayock says Iupati can play any of the 5 Oline positions.

I'd plug him in at Right Tackle.

If anyone will trade with us, trading the #4 might be our best option, trade it and pick up OL like the monster Iupati, the ideal situation is a trade with SF where we get their 2 no.1's we could solidify both RG and RT

Some bad news is that Vladimir Ducasse had a bad showing at the senior bowl, leaving Iupati all by himself as the best guard, which could possibly cause him to go in the first.

Jon Asomoah will be up there. no way he'll get picked over Iupati, but still a very good guard coming out
